A new baby, child's card at Fab','Funky Challenges - and please send help lol!!

Hi all

Well I'm home from my hollies in Florida at last - no crafting for almost four weeks and home to four weeks of post and answer phone messages - oh my - please send help!!

I can't believe how much stuff accumulates while you're away - and the longer you're away the more there is, I've spent all my time catching up with it all for the last few days along with catching up on life and most importantly meeting my new grand daughter - who was also born while we were away!!
Life at home certainly doesn't stop that's for sure

So here she is
Miss Eva Elizabeth Todd she arrived 10 days early at 6lb 4oz - so tiny!!

I've only just got my crafting act back together tonight - hence my late DT card!!

So here it is my card for Fab'n'Funky Challenges
where our theme this week is

For a Child

chosen and hosted for us by our lovely Helen

Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Bugaboo digi stamps
who are providinga fab prize of 7 digis for the winner

I chose this image because it is so simple and cute - and because it reminds me of my grandson Jacob
who is 4 years old and wears totally cool glasses!

this is Kids pocket topper - glasses boy from Bugaboo digi stamps

I love when a simple card comes together and this one was so easy!!
I decided to take the easy route on the colouring too and used my Spectrum Noir aquablend pencils - you might call it a cop out!! - I call it a great use of my time and I just love these pencils and the watercolour effect

This is what i did

Image - Kids pocket topper from Bugaboo digi stamps
Coloured with Spectrum noir aquablend pencils - coral, apricot, ruby, black umber. sorrell, beeswax
Papers - MME meadow lark
Coloured card - Core'dnations
banner - Diesire from Crafters companion
Letters - Tim Holtz for sizzix - vintage market
Sentiment created in word

Hope you'll join in with us at Fab'n'Funky this week
