We have a charming challenge for you at Winter Wonderland this week

Hi all

I'm here today with my DT card for the new challenge at

Winter Wonderland

it's my turn to host this week

and our theme is

How charming

I've had a bit of a week this week with one thing and another so was looking to make a quick and easy card - these artpads from LOTV always fit the bill for that - so I decided to use this cute snowman.  We also were lucky enough to be given some digi papers to work with by our sponsor this week
who are providing a 20 euro gift voucher to this weeks winner

I used faded jeans distress ink on the paper to tone it to a blue - it looks a bit rubbish in this photo - in fact the whole photo looks rubbish when I look at it closely : ( - but it does look much better IRL. - honest!!!

This is what I did

Image - LOTV artpad
Papers - MR designs
Distress ink - TH faded jeans
Tree dies - Marianne dies
Organza Ribbon - coloured to match with Spectrum noir pen BG04

Glitter - Stickles Diamond

Hope you'll come and join in with our challenge this week - we'd love to see your charming Christmas projects - less than 6 months to that big day now - just in case you needed a reminder he he

It's a sad week for us over there because our boss lady Hazel has decided to step down from the challenge - we're all so sad to see her go - thank you Hazel - you gave me my first DT job and I love the team you created - hope you'll find your craftyness again soon xx

But the good news is that the lovely Wendy (Spanish Crafter) has stepped up to the mark and taken control of things - because like all of us she didn't want to see things come to an end
 - we really are a lovely team!! and thank you Wendy for taking us troublesome lot under your wing
I think there could be a few DT spots to fill - so if you're interested keep a look out for our DT call soon to follow - or maybe ask Wendy nicely if she has a place for you : )

Wednesday 1 July 2015

We have a birthday challenge at Fab'n'Funky Challenges this week - and Monday surprise!

Good morning all

It's challenge time over at Fab'n'Funky challenges again

and our lovely Sharon has chosen the theme

Birthdays

I'm almost caught up with myself after my hollies -but I have no idea where time goes - mine is just speeding by - so much to do - so little time to do it!

At least we have some decent weather now and I intend to make the most of the sunshine - walks on the beach with my faithful hound and BBQ's in the garden - what could be nicer.

I had a lovely surprise on Monday too - my DH took me to buy a new car - (I think he bought it for himself actually - I may need to fight him off lol) - so I'm getting a lovely new Black Mini Spaceman within the next week - I'm so excited - I've had my good old Ford Fiesta for 7 years - but no time for sentiment - it's time to say goodbye : )
- it's up for sale now so if you're after a Ford Fiesta Ghia in really great condition with under 30,000 miles on the clock - drop me a line

Anyway - less of the gossip

Here is my birthday card - I made it for a (not so!) young lady who celebrated her 30th birthday last week - daughter of my best friend - I'm not quite sure where 30 years went

This is actually a Christmas stamp from Ching Chou Kuik
at Sweetpea stamps - called Poinsettia Fairy and available here
- she looks rather lovely as a summer fairy I think

I coloured her with my spectrum noir pens and pencils and also coloured the card for the flowers and backing card to match with my Spectrum Noir pens

We are sponsored by the fabulous

and have a great prize from them for this weeks lucky winner - a $20 voucher to spend in store
- how great is that!

This is what I did ....

Image - Poinsettia fairy from Ching Chou Kuik
Coloured with spectrum noir pens and pencils

Pencil 78,81

Papers - LOTV
Flower and leaf dies - Crafters companion
Swirls - ceative expressions

I hope we'll see your birthday project in our challenge this week - after all everyone has a birthday so you're going to need one real soon!!

To my dear bloggy friends that I still haven't visited - I will be round to see you soon!

hugs
