Blooming Love!

Good morning all

I'm here today with my inspiration card for Whimsy Stamps.  I've used not one but two of the cute January release digis from Stampart Design by Kathryne
together with a bonus sentiment that comes with it.

The main image is called Katie available here
The pink flowers are cut from Pretty Petals 2 available here
and the sentiment comes as a bonus with the Pretty Petals 2 stamp

The flowers in the bottom corner are cut from the pretty Petals 2 digi - I coloured them then cut them out and mounted them on 3D foam before arranging them on the die cut leaves as an embellishment to match the flower on the image.  I really like these little flowers and I think they could be used to make all sorts of flower embellishments as there is an assortment of shapes and sizes of flower.  The centre of each flower is coloured and then I added diamond stickles which really makes these flowers stand out.   The design paper I used is first edition spring drop - the colours in it are green, pink, peach and aqua and I used those colours for my image - the aqua doesn't show up to well on the photo which makes the colours look a bit random - its better in real life  honest!

This is what I did....

Sketch Challenge at Delightful Challenges

Good morning all

We have  a sketch challenge over at Delightful Challenges this week.
Oh I do love sketch challenges it makes life so easy when designing a card.
I chose to use the cute Starry Booboo for this card available here
along with the baby sentiments set available here

Here is the sketch for this weeks challenge

Our fab sponsor this week is Scrapyland
Who are offering a fab prize of $20 to spend in store

You obviously can't tell by looking at the picture - but this is a big 8x8 inch card.  Its a while since I made such a big card - sometimes I think you just reach for the 6x6 inch as normal.
But this one had me think outside of the box.
I made it for our team at work all to sign as one of our workmates  had a baby boy last week so its the "office card" and there has to be plenty of space for everyone to sign!

This is what I did....
Image - Starry Booboo from Digital delights
Sentiment - from Baby sentiment set
Coloured with copics  E40,E41,E43, B000,B00,YR20,YR21,YR01,C1

Glitter -  diamond stickles  think I'm adicted to this!!

Colour my world

Hi all

You're probably wondering what's going on - here I am my 5th day in a row!!
When I first started blogging I had an ambition to post a card at least 4 times a week and although I haven't always hit that target - I feel as if I have come pretty close.
I get a great feeling of satisfaction each time I post a card
- it's like - ok job done!

I have a really cute little girl today from Digital Delights, Wendy (aka Louby Lou) asked for some samples to be made with this cute set of stamps and I really couldn't resist

The set is called colour my world and is available here

I decide to make an easel card so I could fit all the elements of the set on the card - the sentiment, Chelsea the little girl and the pencils and paints.  I decided just to go for total colour overload here - after all this image was an invitation and how often do you get the chance!  It is  also available already coloured (here) and there are some cute sentiments too

Heres what I did.....

Are you ready for a romantic moment?!

Good morning all

I'm back today with a new inspiration card for Whimsy stamps.  This one is from the gorgeous Fairy dust images and is called Romantic Moment available here

Isn't it just a gorgeous fairy image - I just loved it the minute I saw it and was dying to colour it up. I was originally going to colour it in pale pastel colours and went looking for papers to do that but when I saw this paper i decided to go with the pale green and red colour scheme and I really like how it turned out.  I went a bit overboard with the stickles - well you can with a fairy - and although the sparkle of the glitter on the wings is reflecting the light so that you cant see the wings too well - they are coloured in a graduated blue, green, pink and lilac design.

This is what I did.....

Image - Romantic Moment from Fairy dust Images at Whimsy Stamps
Coloured with - copics and prismacolor pencils
Paper -MME - lost and found blush
Sentiment LOTV grungy everyday messages
Distress ink - Faded corduroy
Stickles - Diamond
Dies -Memory box - Debutante frame and Honeyblossom frame from Oyster stamps - I cut some extra branches to fill the bottom of the frame as well.  also ivy tendrill die - all cut with pearl card

It's men only at MTTC today

Good morning all

Well it certainly is a good morning here in the frozen north!  The sun is shining and theres even a touch of spring in the air - don't suppose it'll last but its nice to have some decent weather for a change.

Its also challenge day at MTTC  - so another reason to be cheerful!

This week challenge is

Men only
(only cards for men)

I decided to use this cute image called Birthday Ted from Dis Digi downloads -I bought it before Christmas intending to use it for a little boys birthday card but somehow it didn't get used.  Its one of those versatile stamps that I think you could use for a birthday card for almost anyone so I decided to use it to make a 30th Birthday card for my son in law.  His birthdays at the end of March, I need to be prepared for this day as not only is it his birthday but also my daughters birthday and their wedding anniversary all on the same day - not a day for last minute cards lol

Anyway here's the card I made for him

I decided to take it into the conservatory to photograph as it was such a bright sunny day - its on my glass dining table so there's lots of light - just in case you're trying to work out what on earth you can see in this picture - its a glass table and chairs under it!!

This is what I did...
Image - birthday Ted from Dis digi downloads
Coloured with copics and prisma pencils
Card - bazzill basics
Papers - kitschy kitchen from Melissa Frances (aqua) and everyday essentials from paper mania(beige)
Card cut with spellbinders grand nestis circles and scallops
Star dies - Mariannes

I know lots of people don't like making cards for men - so this could be just the challenge for you - get challengeing yourself - that why its called a challenge lol

Card making mammas - birthday
a gem of a challenge - die cuts and punches
Charizma cards - Anything goes
Milk Coffee challenge - Make it cute
