Another christmas card from me - Digital Delights Anything Goes challenge

Hi all

So sorry that I'm arriving late with my card for

 this months Challenge
at

I've had very intermittent internet service over the last couple of weeks and haven't been able to post much at all - thank goodness for my phone that I could at least keep up with email!

but at least I can still share one of the really cute Christmas Images
on our new release at

This is the cute

Gift Giving Cedric available here
and
Magical winter wishes sentiment set available here

I decided to go non traditional with the colours
matching up with the lovely papers from My Minds Eye
and my favourite Easel card shape - what could be better!!
With the focus on the image I simply used the papers and
the fairly simple Christmas tree die from Marianne - Simple
Coloured up with Spectrum noir pens and pencils
-it was a pretty easy make really

and now here is my very own Christmas elf!

My Grandson Jacob in his Christmas elf sweater
all ready to meet Mickey Mouse!!

We're off to Florida in a few weeks and we're all booked up to go to Mickeys Christmas party night at The Magic Kingdom
so this is Jacob trying his sweater out for size!!
cute or what!!

I'll be back again tomorrow with another DT card - this time for the challenge at
The Paper Shelter

see you then

Glitter and sparkle at WagsnWhiskers challenge

Good morning all

It's challenge day over at Wags'nWhiskers today and our theme is

Sparkle and glitter

I've used one of the cute images from Wags'nWhiskers
called Ellie and Squeak

I was going to colour this little cutie traditional elephant grey
but I threw caution to the wind and made her pink instead
why not I thought - life's too short for boring elephants!!

I must admit it doesn't look to sparkly or glittery in the photo
 - but it does have a nice subtle glittery look in real life

I decided on a soft look and coloured it with my Spectrum noir pencils
colour numbers 36,37,38,62,85,112

Here's what i did...

image - Ellie and squeak from Wags'nwhiskers
Coloured with spectrum noir pencils
Papers - first edition blank canvas
Stitched square die - memory box
leaf die - Sue Wilson curled vines
Flower die - MFT  (Sunflower I think - it was a give away in store so has no package)
Sentiment tags - LOTV
glitter details - stickles

Have a look over at Wags'nwhiskers challenge and see what my teamies have made - theres some seriously cute sparkle going on over there!

hugs

A card of many folds challenge at The Paper Shelter

Good morning all

Hope you are all coping with our decline into autumn - where did summer go
or when did it come really - we've had some lovely sunny days
but a lot of rain here lately - booo!

Anyway it's time for another challenge at

The Paper Shelter

This week our theme is

A card of many folds

I've been so busy these past couple of months
you might have noticed that I haven't been around much lately

What with the normal summer holiday time and ordinary family things
mainly I've been scribing for my son Tom (who is disabled)
He's just a few weeks away now from completing his masters degree
at Newcastle University - but many months have gone into his dissertation
and I've shared the journey - and we're still travelling on : )

Sooo I decided to make the quickest easiest card I could
using one of the pre- coloured  paper and image sets
available at

She's called Autumn Trends available here

I cut two sets of papers to make my easel card
stuck it onto Kraft card and a tan mat
then just cut out the cute little girl in the frame which I raised on 3d glue gel
The die for the sentiment is an old spellbinders label die
I stamped a sentiment from a heartfelt creations set
and gave a little definition to the labels with TH distress ink in Tea Dye
and the ribbon from is my stash - easy as that!

The image is quite large standing top to bottom of my 6 inc card
it makes a great statement card - in pretty quick time
When I have more crafty time she's one I'm looking forward to colouring
 - so much lovely detail

As always there is a fab prize up for grabs at TPS

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

Hope you'll come and join in with our challenge this week

Hugs
