In the Dark Challenge at Moving along with the times

Hi all

Yes I know I'm late!  I got caught up yesterday - would you believe tracing the family tree for my mother!! She's got such a bee in her bonnet about it lately and I finally gave in yesterday and tried to do something about it and that was it - I was there all day and half the night but I did find out all sorts of things - not sure it was the sorts of things my mother wanted me to find - it was a bit like an episode of Who do you think you are!!  I don't suppose its the end of it, I'm now waiting for replies from emails to see where to go next, as if I've got nothing else to do!!  It was really hot in the office at work today and with going to bed so late I would have loved just half an hours sleep to catch up - I wonder if anyone would have noticed he he.

Anyway onto today's card for this weeks challenge at

I just love the cute animals at Digital Delights and thought this was an ideal challenge to use the Timmy (Tiger) with cupcake image - perfect for an orange challenge, so all I had to do was add the green and purple lol.  As luck would have it the co-ordinating digital delights paper is green.
I also thought this was a great time to try out my new Matha Stewart Ballon punch - just love it!!  I used some silver hollogram paper I got from a local craftshop ans coloured it orange, green and purple to fit with the theme - i think you might be seeing some more balloons from me!!

Gone Fishin' - My something begining with "F"!

Good morning all

Hope this sunny morning finds you well and yes you read right - it's sunny, after over 48 hours it's finally stopped raining.  I can't believe how much rain we've had this summer and from what our trusty weatherman said last night its not quite over this week.  I wrapped myself up yesterday to walk the dog - its even hard to decide where to walk because the fields are flooded and the beach is covered by about 3 feet of white foamy stuff caused by the rain on the seawater - it looks like its been snowing down there. I did manage a walk but had to turn back early because the little bridge I normally cross over a small stream was under the stream instead of over it!! Goodness knows where we'll walk today as there's been another few inches of rain fallen since then - oh its such good fun ha ha!

Anyway onto today's card.  Its challenge day over at Fab'n'Funky challenges again and todays challenge is set by our lovely Emma - who has just announcd that she's leaving us - so sad to see you go Emma.  For her last challenge she has chosen the theme

Something begining with "F"

We have two fabulous sponsors this week, Our special first prize sponsor is Stampart by Kathryne

and our Random prize sponsor is the fabulous Di's digi downloads

 - so some great prizes up for grabs with week

I knew exactly which stamp to use for this challenge as soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect and I don't suppose theres many F for fish cards around!!  It's also challenge day at Inky impressions so thought this card would fit great for their Animals challenge today - is a fish an animal? - it is now!!

Its a really cute little stamp from inky Impressions from the last new release and its the cute little Christopher - he really does get up to all sorts of mischief!!  These are my absolute favourite little boy stamps, I just love the expression on his face

I coloured this image with a completely different paper in mind and had some die cuts from my cricut expression all planned but when I went looking for something else I came across this paper I had bought and never used yet and knew it was just perfect. at the same time I also "found" the foam shapes - so much for planning - so I just threw them all together - and there it was my F for Fish card!

This is what I did....
