Lazy little boy : )

Hey!

The card for today is made with a Lili of the Valley stamp, a lovely lazy little boy!

I coloured him with copics and prismacolor pencils.  The die cut circles are spellbinders and the leafy swirl is from my cricut expression - home decor cartridge.  The flowers are cut with an EK success retro flower punch.  The tickets are Tim Holtz and the pearls from kaisercraft.  I can't remember where the papers are from but they fit the bill for me.

Friends - what could be nicer

Hi there!

I've been away for the weekend - just a nice little break in a lovely old country hotel called the Cook and Barker in Northumberland - not far from Alnwick -Harry Potter country!  It's only an hour or so from home but a really beautiful part of the world, the coast is lined with little towns and fishing villages and further inland its so green and peacful and quiet, I just love it up there.....  So thats why I did no crafting or cards since Thursday.

Todays card is a pretty lili of the valley girlie stamp, its (another) one of my favourites.  I really liked this K & Co paper and knew it needed to be a lovely blue and pink card today, with my favourite butterflies and pearls and a few flowers and ribbon just for good measure!

I coloured this with copics and prismacolor pencils, the lacey butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and the die cuts are spellbinders. The ribbon is a really pretty check from carnmeal cottage - it doesn't show up so well on the photo, all other embellies are from my stash.

I decorated the inside to match with butterflies from another Martha Stewart punch and a spellbinders die for the greeting  - I just love those colours!

A card for a baby boy

Hi again

I was lookig through my stamps today to decide what to do and came up with this cute Lili of the Valley baby stamp,  I've only used it once before and that was at Christmas when I did a completely different colourscheme  to this card and made it into a babys 1st christmas card for my new grandson - he's a really old baby now that he's got to 6 weeks old!!

I wanted to keep this one very "clean" and bright like a traditional baby boy card, and I think it worked. I decided to use my promarkers to colour this one and shaded with prismacolor pencils as usual, the dies are spellbinders ovals and the " baby boy" is Sizzix skoosky font dies, they are a bit fiddly to work with but because they are so thin they are easy to fit on most cards without dominating it.  The spotty ribbon came from Sam Pooles Creative Studios and the pearls from my stash

Little country girl - Adele

Hi there!

I have a lovely little girl by Stampavie today - Adele enjoying fresh apples.  I probably had more problems making this card than any other, becuase I did it backwards! I coloured the image ages ago when I went to a colouring class held at Papercuts in Whitley Bay by the talented Bev Rochester.  Beause I was trying to match the colours I had used to papers instead of the other way around it took me an age to find the right thing - I thought I was saving time by using an image that was coloured - how wrong can you be. After I had finally finished it I had bigger problems photoghraphing it because the flower is so big it cast shadows all over the place!  Anyway enough moaning!

I had coloured her with copics and prismacolour pencils and shaded the spellbinders die cut with Tim Holtz distress ink, The papers are all K & Co and the flower and leaves were cut from spellbinders,  I filled the centre of the flower with a Martha Stewart large grade glitter and topped it off with a pearl to highlight.  The red pearls are all from kaisercraft, I love how you can get the different sizes and colours.  The sentiment is from craftwork cards and the gold lace from my stash.  I love the red/pink combo and these papers are just the right style for this little country girl.

Thats me for now!

Messy Rabbit

Hi again

I made this little card as a change from all the girlie types, keeping it plain and bright, it is a Joanna Sheen messy rabbit stamp, I bought this stamp years ago and used it for fathers day and birthdays a couple of times but I don't think he's been out of the drawer in at least 2 years so not before time!

I coloured him with copics and prismacolor pencils and shaded the die cut with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink.  The green paper is from craftwork cards as are the sentiment tags and the little card candy studing them together also the scalloped card  The gingham paper was from my stash, I die cut the swirl on my cricut expression with the Cindy Loo cartridge - a really nice cartridge with lots of swirls and cute shapes and die cuts for all kinds of things as well as a really good font - its one of my best used favourites.  The buttons and ribbon are from my stash and I can't remember where the bakers twine came fom - but it finishes it off nicely.  It's a nice change sometimes to move away from the ribbons, lace, flowers and bling and just make a cute card, it probably took me longer trying to decide what not to put on, rather than the embelish it to death cards I usually make!!

Thats me for today - off to think about tomorrows project!

Sexy Suzy!

Hi again

Today I have a very sexy lady stamp on my card-it's the first time my husband has ever stopped to look at me making a card - typical man, he'll get an even bigger suprise when he gets this card for his birthday!!
As soon as I saw her I just knew she was a husband card, its so hard to find a card that's not sport, cars or too cute for husbands so for me she fit the bill perfectly. She is a digistamp from Saturated Canary, I loved them so much I got six altogether so you'll be seeing a few more from me. I was a bit unsure about how to tackle the colouring when I started but all in all I felt quite happy with my first attempt - especially as I chose red which is a difficult colour for a large area anyway, I used copics and prismacolor pencils and shaded the edges of the spellbinders diecut with a distress ink.

Suzy Stockings from Saturated Canary

I kept it fairly plain and simple but still added a bow because I thought she deserved it and that my husband would appreciate it too! The card candi from craftwork cards had been stamped with the new candi stamps that I got when they were on QVC last week - they're really good clear stamps and I think I'll get a lot of use from them. The ribbon and swirl embelishment (that I cut up to fit in with my card) I got from Sam Poole's creative studios, the paper is a K & Co, anything else is from my stash.

That's me for today

Flowers

Hi again
Todays card is a bit different from my usual, I found these stamps when I tidied out my craft stuff (still a work in progress!) can't remember them at all or where I got them but there's a couple of sheets of different flower images so decided to put them to good use!  The card is an 8x8 craftwork card shaped card with a kim & co paper in the background, other than that it was quite simple just matting up and a few sparklies and coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils,  The edges of each square were inked upwith distress ink and thatys about it.  The sentiment is another mystery - note to self - I must use the things I buy!!

Its a pretty plain card really, but i dont think it needed to be loaded up with bling sometimes you've just got to keep it simple!

Decided to see if it firt any current challenges and came up with

Truely Scrumptious - something forgotten

Well thats me for today

Hugs
