New challenge day at Delightful challenges - I appreciate you

Good morning all

Its challenge day again over at Delightful Challenges

and the theme is

I appreciate you

I used the cute Water Melon Time set to make my card - available here

This week we are sponsored by

http://www.markerpop.com/catalog/

who are offering a great prize of a $15 gift certificate from Marker Pop

I took a totally different approach to making this card - its's not my usual style at all.  I found a paper distresser that I had bought last year in the bottom of a bag of ribbons and it all started from there!  I was really pleased with the result when I finished - my problem was knowing when I was finished and it was a fine line between finished, too much and not enough

This is what I did.....

Image and sentiment  - water melon time set from Digital Delights
Colored with copics, prismacolor pencil and white gel pen
Papers - market from MME
Pearls and very old flower from my stash
Heart banner die - la la land
Doly die - spell binders
Seam binding ribbon from crafty ribbons
butterfly - prima

There are all kinds of interpretations on this theme on the Delightful Challenges blog this week - have a look at what my very talented teamies have made and join in with our challenge this week to show your appreciation!

Little Miss Muffet - food glorious food

I'm up a height! - In the sky for My time to craft this week

Hello again!

Really sorry I haven't been around much this week its been a really busy one.  The themes for this weeks challenges seem to have been set for me!  We had going around in circles on Thursday and now its

In the sky

Here in Geordieland we use the phrase- "up a height"  meaning stressed out! - that's me! - I'm totaly up a height this week lol!! got more to do than there are hours in the day at the minute.  Having said that I pretty much live my life like that and always have done.  Most people think I'm just totally nuts I think but I hate to be bored and would rather have too much than too little to do - because my philosophy is that you always catch up in the end!

Here's my card for this week, using really cute digi from Liastampz at Whimsystamps

Going round in circles - that's me!

Good morning all

Well! - if ever a challenge was all about me its this one!

Over at Delightful Challenges we have a new challenge and the theme is

Round up
(must include circles)

If ever anyone spends their time going round in circles its me! - sometimes I'm sure I met myself coming back!  Life's really busy at the moment - some of you may know that I scribe/type for my son who is severely disabled and doing a degree course.  It's his final year this year - that means dissertation 10,000 -words of it- due in early May! - he's almost there but there's lots of redrafting and moving of text going on so its pretty full on, then there's two essays and a presentation by the end of May -on top of that that there's just normal life to get on with - roll on June, then it's off to California for me yippee!! - but for now its back to the grind lol.

Ballerina Bobbi available here
and Spring sentiments available here

I just got this one done by the skin of my teeth (sorry Larelyn!) - I try to work ahead with my DT projects - sometimes one goes a bit astray - well a few of late if the truth be known - but I do get there in the end!

My main problem with this one was I forgot what I was doing!  I had intended to make a circular easel card - one of my favourites - but forgot that bit and after I'd coloured it - promptly cut it into a square!  and had half the card made before I remembered about the circle bit.  So I had to do a bit of a rescue job to make it back into a circle again and this was the result!

We have a fab Sponsor this week

and the prize is a $15 store gift card

This is what I did...
Image - Ballerina Bobbi by Digital Delights

I think this ones an easy challenge - look how easily i turned a square into a circle!! - my teamies at Delightful challenges have made some fab cards - call on in and bring your circle card with you

see you there

CCEE stampers - recipe -2 papers 1 circle 1 square

This ones for the Krafty people!

Good morning all

Its team A's turn again at Moving along with the times this week
and my lovely blogging buddy Janice is hosting the challenge
She has chosen the theme

Kraft

All we need to see is some Kraft card on your project - how easy is that!

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous

and I knew what I wanted to make straight away
I had seen this image a while ago and while its not a masculine image at all
I knew it was perfect for my son Matthew's birthday next week
She's called - What the librarian reads available here

Matthew reads more than anyone I've ever known! - anything and everything
There's not a week goes by that the postman doesn't deliver at least one book he's bought
I encouraged all my kids to read and the three of them are all prolific readers - but Matthew takes first prize! - I bought him a kindle for Christmas a couple of years ago thinking it would be easier for him to upload books  - but he doesn't use it -he just loves books!

I've made it fairly simple with just the bare few embellies that aren't girly and the Kraft colour works perfectly to make it a manish card (Is that a word!?)

Here's what I did....

Image - What the librarian reads from saturated Canary
Coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils
Papers - K & co (sorry i dont know what they're called - they're years old!
Vintage seam binding - crafty ribbons
Sentiment made in word
Label - Dienamics
Corners - Dienamics
Gems from my stash

Call in at the MAWTT challenge blog to see my teamies fab card - and leave us your Krafty creation while you're there!

Craft-room Challenge - in the library
