A quick and easy Christmas card for Winter Wonderland Challenge

Good Morning all

I'm afraid I'm a little late with my post this time for the challenge at

Things are not going so well around here lately because of serious illness affecting my husbands parents and I'm afraid I've just totally fallen off the blogging bus!!
With hospital visiting and all sorts of other things going on as well I just seem to be on permanent catch up that never quite gets there - hopefully I'll get on track sometime soon but in the meantime I'm sorry for my lack of posts /visits : (

I haven't even been doing all that much colouring lately - I even think I've forgotten how to sometimes!!- but I can always die cut and quite enjoyed making this card - it was quite quick and easy to do

Happy birthday Winter Wonderland!

Good morning all

Well I'm back from my travels (yes I know again!) We've had a lovely couple of weeks, first up to beautiful Northumberland to drop off our youngest son on  his activities holiday at Keilder Water, I think Northumberland is the most beautiful county in England (IMHO!!) the gorgeous countryside, rolling hills, vast waters and then the beautiful coastline - it really is spectacular with lots of historical treasures to visit too.  We then drove from there to Edinburgh to spend a couple of days with our older son Matthew and the weather was just gorgeous, while England was languishing in the cold unseasonal weather Scotland was having their turn of temperatures in the 20's.  When we drove home it got colder and colder as we crossed the border - quite bizarre really.  But that was ok we weren't here for long!! After 2 days at home we flew off for a lovely trip to Rome with some good friends - some very good friends! - we discovered quite by chance while talking that it was our 40th friendship anniversary this year!! - We've all been friends since we were at school, oh where has the time gone.... So we had a drink or two in Rome just to celebrate properly.  It's taken me a few days to get back into the swing of things at home but I'm getting there.

but I digress......

The team at

is celebrating this week
its our 7th birthday!

Sending some flowers

Morning all

This is just a quick call in between holidays and weekends away lol!

I've totally lost my crafting blogging thing these last couple of weeks and luckily had this card
pre-made to use for my DT card for the challenge at

The Paper Shelter

where our theme is

Flowers everywhere

This is using another of the lovely precoloured images and papers from TPS
she is called Charming Spring Girl and is available HERE.

I used the whole preprinted image and paper printed onto card, mounted it onto kraft card then fussy cut the image of the little girl and mounted it with 3d glue gel (it's sort of curved and looks really good on the card - though it doesn't photograph well)  I inked the edges of the card and the image with TH teadye DI for a vintage look - it goes well with these colours I think.  ThenI added from die cut flowers. butterflies and leaves cut from Crafter's Companion dies and also coloured them with distressed inks in, coral, wild honey and moss green.  The entiment is from the free set in the latest CC inspiration magazine - then finally finished off with a few gems and a cute little charm. - using these printed images is very quick and easy but allows you to add your own creativity too

hope you'll join in with our challenge
as always its a fab prize
see you there!

We're off on our travels again tomorrow for a lovely weekend with friends in Rome - the downside is the flight is 7:15 in the morning - I hate early flights lol.  I'll be back on Monday with a brand new mojo - lots of ideas are there just needing to get out - so watch this space!!

hugs Judith xx
