Its Cow Girl Lili for Inky impressions challenge day

Hello again

I'm back with my second post of the day with my Cow Girl Lili DT card
for the challenge over at the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog
and todays challenge is

Use Lace or trim

This weeks  challenge is being sponsored by 3 Bugs in a Rug!
Here is a bit about their fabulous company:

Kristine and Rick Turner founded Three Bugs in a Rug 5 years ago. After starting an online scrapbook store, Kristine decided to create her own designs. After the overwhelming response to her designs, we closed the online store to concentrate on creating fun pattern paper and coordinating embellishments. We hope you enjoy working with her designs as much as she enjoys creating them.

They are giving a great prize this week
 - so why don't you play along - it could be you!!

This little girl is one of my favourites from Inky Impressions I just love her little cowhide skirt, her knock knees and her boots!  I'm not having a very good week when it comes to liking cards this week - I think we all have these weeks when we just can't please ourselves!  I had an idea in my head when I started this but the card doesn't match it- i don't not like it its just it doesn't look like I had in mind....!

Join the Nautical theme at Moving Along with the Times

Good Morning blog friends

Hope you're all having a good day.

Today is new challenge day at Moving Along With The Times and we have a great theme for this week

Our hostess with the mostest for this week is Leesa AKA The Navy Wife
and she's chosen the great theme

 Nautical

Here is my DT card for the week and my inspiration for this challenge

I had a bit of a manic day yesterday and had a real rush to get this card made.  It was supposed to be my "me" day and I had all sorts of crafting planned -ended up with no crafting done - sometimes life just gets in the way of crafting - how can that happen? lol.  I had originally planned a very grown up card but right at the last minute I won some stamps at the Made especially for You challenge this week from Di's digital downloads and had chosen this stamp as one of them.  I was just busy printing off the other digi I had planned to use when up popped the email from Di with my stamps attached so I had a last minute change of plan,  this one is altogether more fun than my original card -  and I needed the shot of fun yesterday!!   I loved colouring this in it's so cute and I added the few nautical embellies that I had from  the other digi kit I, had which is from Can you digi it just to finish it off.  Di even sent me that great blue digi paper that I used as an extra to my prize - isn't it just the perfect paper for this stamp, and saved me having to go looking for any matching papers  - thank you Di!

This is what I did...

Digi stamp - Nautical bear from Di's digital downloads
Nautical embellies - from can you digi it - sail away with me
Coloured with - copics and prismacolor pencils
Paper - Di's digital downloads
Red card, Ribbon and twine  - from my stash
Set sail - cut on cricut expression - gypsy wanderings cart
Anchor and water glossed with - glossy accents

Hope to see you over at MAWTT this week with all your nautical inspired projects, the DT girls have made a huge variety on the theme - hop on over and see them

Challenges i am entering with this card

Craft your days away - just for children
Divas by Design -One for the boys
Crafty cardmakers - For the boys
Ooh la la challenge - Make it manly

Good morning blog friends

Hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend and that the weather hasn't been too bad.  All in all we've had pretty good weather here in the frozen north!  Been a bit chilly but lovely and bright and sunny and only a couple of showers so I think we did OK.

I've had a pretty full on weekend so haven't visited many of you and have just managed to get my DT cards done by the skin of my teeth! - Things should get back to normal soon and I'll be out and about catching up on my visits.  So on to this fortnights challenge over at

Its Summer sunshine at MAWTT - who am I kidding!!!

Good morning blog friends

Its Thursday yet again - and time for another new challenge at Moving Along with the Times.  This week our lovely Claire is hosting and has chosen the theme summer sunshine.  I presume this is wishful thinking from Claire cos we sure ain't got any!! .... but I'm pretty sure that if enough people join in with the challenge we could have some by the end of the week at MAWTT at least!!

I found this challenge a bit challenging!  Couldn't come up with a DT card at all - then I saw this digi on another blog and it was love at first sight!  It is from stamping dragon designs  and called beach scene.

the inside

I have never coloured such a big scene before and I quite enjoyed the challenge but when I finished felt as if something was missing probly because it has no central figure so decided to add some glitter for a bit of extra focus and I was even pleased with that too! There's very little to this card really but it reminds me of holidays and sunshine so that can't be a bad thing.

What I did....

Image - Beach scene from stamping dragon designs
coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils
Papers - Sun Kiss from Prima
Sentiment -cut with cricut expression
Foam sunshine and palm trees - American crafts
Glitter - selection of Martha Stewart colours

first challenge at Inky Inspirations for this inkette!!

Hello again

Here I am back again with my very first DT post for Inky inspirations.

The challenge for this week is lots of Ribbons and here's the card to go with it

Fairy on a clothes pin from Ink Impressions
the inside

This little cutie is an Inky Impessions digistamp called Fairy on a Clothespin, isn't she just so sweet!

Why don't you sort out your ribbon box (it'll need sorting if its like mine!) and rustle up a card for this week s challenge - see you over there!

Inky Impressions Challenges

Have to say I couldn't get it together with my papers at all when I started to design this card -one went in the bin - but as fate would have it I won a gorgeous set of digipapers over at Robyns Fetish challenge last week, they are from Bearly Mine Designs and I really just love them.  I chose two slightly contrasting papers for the in and outside of the card.  The great thing about the papers is they have a sort of white distressed border to them that you can colour up to tone into your design with distress inks - I really am quite taken with these papers and there was 42 in the set - I already have several more in my sights!!  Another great thing I found were those great jewels.  I was shopping in Tescos and there they were a huge bag - all colours, shapes sizes in the kids craft section for 99p - hows that for a great buy.

This is what I did .....

Image - digistamp from Inky Impression - fairy on a clothes pin
Coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils
Card - Tim Holtz kraftcore

Sentiment - Lili of the Valley

I'm entering this card for the following challenges

Little Darlings challenges - Flowers
Paper Pretties - Flowers

Hope you all have a great day

Gardening Gems at My Time to Craft

Hello again!

It's my busy week for challenges this week and the second for today

Today's challenge at My Time to Craft is

Gardening gems

Heres my DT card for the challenge

I love this little girl and I have to confess she reminds me of myself when I was little, my hair was just like that.  My husband said the same thing when he looked at the card , probably because we had the old photos out quite recently, so he was reminded.  I have to confess that this card was a happy accident.  I made it for another challenge that I thought was ribbons and pearls but it turned out to be lace and pearls so it didn't fit!  I could have pulled that gorgeous ribbon off and replaced it with lace but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because it wouldn't have looked half as nice and  I knew it would fit in with another challenge sometime - and this is it!

This is a lovely challenge - a chance to get out all your flowers and pretty papers and garden related stash and make a lovely spring themed  card perfect for our sunny spring days - that we're not getting, but at least you can make a card and pretend lol !!

Heres what I did....

Image - digi from Digi Doodle Shop  "field of flowers"

Animal antics at Creative Craft challenge

Hi blog friends

Its another challenge over at Creative craft Challenges today and the theme is

Animal Antics!

Which basically means - put an animal on your card!!!

We have some great sponsors for this challenge, Bugaboo and Robyns fetish are both offering prizes as well as Joanna Sheen, so why don't you have a crafty play and lets see what Animal Antics you can get up to.

Heres my DT card that has been made with one of the fab images supplied to the DT by the sponsors. This one is from Bugaboo

I loved this little image as soon as I saw it and it said to me "I'm a bee!"  I coloured it all up and glitterd his wings - very bee like I thought and found a sentiment to match.  When my husband was giving his obligatory comment - like all good crafty husbands do - he said yes its very good but isn't it supposed to be a butterfly!!  Well now that you mention it he's probably right but you've just got to go with your instincts - and mine are obviously way off lol.

a close up of the glitter details

I did a bit of recycling with this card  the raffia came on a lovely bunch of flowers that I bought that I knew would be perfect for a card.  And the flowers - although they're from wild orchid have had their middles pulled out! and replaced with a lovely black gem to finish off the look

Heres what I did

Image - digi from bugaboo (since found thats he's butterfly bear!!)
Coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils
Scalloped card - craftwork cards
Sentiment - is a digi - can't remember who's but I'll update if I find it
Flowers -wild orchid crafts
Paper - prima sun kiss
Everything else is from my stash

Why don't you stop by to see what the design team has done with their images - you'll find some real inspiration from my talented teamies!

i'm entering this card in the following challenges

Ooh la la creations - bright and bold
Made especially for you - recycled  (raffia tied around card)
2 sisters challenge blog - use a digi
crazy 4 challenges - use black cardstock on your project
Di's digi design -lets meet your animal friends

Lace and Pearls over at Fab'n'Funky Challenges

Morning all

I haven't been around much these last few days - been really busy trying to catch up with things  (the story of my life!!)but should be able to do some visiting over the next few days.

Today is challenge day at Fab'n'Funky challenges and the new challenge is being sponsored by

Our theme for the week chosen by the lovely Pat is

Lace and pearls

Here is my DT card, which I made using one of the lovely images from The Digi Doodle Shop Called Daisy Girl, isn't she just so sweet!

Two other views of the card

As you can see I'm still on my easel card "thing" - each time I see an image my mind says - that would make a nice easel card - don't know if I've got a bit of an easel problem and has it got bad enough that I need help lol....

I've stood the easel right back so you can see the sentiment but really it  looks better when it stands in front of the sentiment on the lace - oh that lace it gave me such problems this week - made my DT card and completely forgot the lace part of the challenge so this is the second, and completely different card I made - note to self - read the challenge when making a  DT card!!

Anyway enough of the chat

Thats all from me for today - see you tomorrow for the new MAWTT challenge this week

A Cool Cat for my Cool Cat xxx

Good Morning Bloggers

This is an unusual Saturday morning post from me - the crazy cat woman!!  No I haven't taken to sending birthday cards to my cats but when I saw this new digi from Crissy Armstrong  ( I love her stamps)  last week I just knew it was the perfect card for my son Matthews 24th birthday today.  We still have a couple cats today but when our kids were little I used to breed and show British Shorthairs and we had such fun.  The kids loved when we had kittens and we used to travel around the country going to the cat shows, and I fondly remember the Christmas when we had kittens running up the Christmas tree!!  Out of my three kids  I always knew that Matthew loved the cats best. We had a huge magnificent brown tabby Persian cat called Toby who was just a pet but Matthew loved him and to all the kids in the neighbourhood he was known as "Grand Master Toby!"  It makes me smile now to think about it all. I gave up the breeding and showing about eight or nine years ago - I had to make the choice between having kittens and having holidays because looking after the cats was getting a much for my parents and in laws when we went away - so the holidays won!!

Anyway Matthew is sharing his birthday today with the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and his birthday is a titanic event indeed!  I had originally got a Kenny K rocker digi for his card but this one just shouted out to me when I saw it!  My Matthew is a "too cool for school kind of guy" and I know he'll appreciate this card.  I've become addicted to easel cards lately so here's is another one.  It took me hours to make this last night and when I went to bed (way too late) I still wasn't happy with it, its been put together pulled to bits layered and embellished with all kinds before it ended up like this!  After a bit more messing with it this morning I've learned to love it!!  It did at one point have a big yellow sunshine in the corner - now I'm wondering should I put it back......

I'm sitting here writing this and eating my breakfast at the same time.  My daughter just sent me a text with a photo of my grandson wearing some dungarees that I bought for him last week  -with the tag line - he looks a painter and  decorator!!  We  just had such a good laugh - see what you think.
Need any painting done?
He's such a little bruiser- 4 months old yesterday and grown out of all his clothes - he's just moved to 6-9 months size, he's nearly big enough to be a painter and decorator!!

Anyway back to this card

What I did....

Digi Stamp - Cool cat by Crissy Armstrong at Whimsy Stamps
Coloured with - Copics and prismacolour pencils
Sun Glasses and Glass - Glossied with glossy accents
Scalloped card - Craftwork cards
Paper - K & Co
Foam palm trees - American crafts

I've been such a bad blogger these last couple of days I haven't got round to do my comments since Wednesday,  had a manic couple of days and I had to get this card done last night which took WAY to long.  I will catch up over the next couple of evenings.

Have a great weekend everyone, i've got another busy day ahead so must be off!

I'm entering this card for the following challenges

Vintage and Shabby Chic at MAWTT challenge

Good Morning blog friends

This is my third day in a row - might just go for four tomorrow!

Its challenge day over at Moving Along With The Times challenge blog

This week's Challenge theme was chosen by our lovely Sue and is ….

'SHABBY CHIC and/or VINTAGE'

So we want to see creations that are either Shabby Chic or have a Vintage Image/theme or both!  It doesn't have to be a card - as long as you follow the theme.

I've gone for the vintage look and used a lovely 1920s style lady stamp from Kanban called Cavendish Ladies.  This is a stamp I've had for absolutely ages but have never used - I've no idea why because I bought them because I really liked them (there's another 2 in the set -also unused!) and I was really pleased with how it turned out, it was a change to make a DL size card instead of square- that's probably why I haven't used the stamp before!. The image is mounted up with a few layers of card but I've used very few embellishments - even the art deco corner stamps came with the set.

We are sponsored this week by the fab Crafty Emma's Store

who are very kindly giving the Winner of this week's challenge  a £10.00 Voucher to spend in-store (excluding P & P)

This is what I did....

Stamp - Kanban Cavendish ladies
Coloured with - Copics and Prismacolor pencils
Paper - Marianne designs (songbook I think)
Distress ink - Tim Holtz Tea Dye
Tag - cut with Sizzix tag die
Resin rose - a free gift from My Crafty Heart
