Good Morning all

I'm back again with my second post of the day - this time for the fabulous Delightful Challenges.
The theme for this weeks challenge is

Halloween Colours - Orange, Green and Purple

The challenge is being sponsored by Digital Delights this week and the fabulous prize is

I just love the cute animals at Digital Delights and thought this was an ideal challenge to use the Timmy (Tiger) with cupcake image - perfect for an orange challenge, so all I had to do was add the green and purple lol.  As luck would have it the co-ordinating digital delights paper is green.
I also thought this was a great time to try out my new Matha Stewart Ballon punch - just love it!!  I used some silver hollogram paper I got from a local craftshop ans coloured it orange, green and purple to fit with the theme - i think you might be seeing some more balloons from me!!

Good morning campers!

Hope it is a good one for all of you.

There's another new challenge at MAWTT set by this week hostess

the lovely Laurie

The theme is

Seeing Red

I'm sure you get the message - very simply we want to see Red - and lots of it

Our sponsors this week are the fabulous Crafty Pad

Now to me this challenge just shouted "Christmas" so that's what I did

I used my very very favourite Lili of the Valley stamp - I think I must have used this stamp more than any other one that I own - lots of Christmas cards have been made with this little lady

I have to confess that I always colour her the same way - red coat and a goldy vintagey colour skirt and  blonde hair, but I use different papers and embellies every time - each ones an exclusive lol!  I might have to ring the changes a bit - that gives me a good excuse to use her all over again this year - maybe I can feel some pale blues coming on.....

This is what I did....

Gone Fishin' - My something begining with "F"!

Good morning all

Hope this sunny morning finds you well and yes you read right - it's sunny, after over 48 hours it's finally stopped raining.  I can't believe how much rain we've had this summer and from what our trusty weatherman said last night its not quite over this week.  I wrapped myself up yesterday to walk the dog - its even hard to decide where to walk because the fields are flooded and the beach is covered by about 3 feet of white foamy stuff caused by the rain on the seawater - it looks like its been snowing down there. I did manage a walk but had to turn back early because the little bridge I normally cross over a small stream was under the stream instead of over it!! Goodness knows where we'll walk today as there's been another few inches of rain fallen since then - oh its such good fun ha ha!

Anyway onto today's card.  Its challenge day over at Fab'n'Funky challenges again and todays challenge is set by our lovely Emma - who has just announcd that she's leaving us - so sad to see you go Emma.  For her last challenge she has chosen the theme

Something begining with "F"

We have two fabulous sponsors this week, Our special first prize sponsor is Stampart by Kathryne

and our Random prize sponsor is the fabulous Di's digi downloads

 - so some great prizes up for grabs with week

I knew exactly which stamp to use for this challenge as soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect and I don't suppose theres many F for fish cards around!!  It's also challenge day at Inky impressions so thought this card would fit great for their Animals challenge today - is a fish an animal? - it is now!!

Its a really cute little stamp from inky Impressions from the last new release and its the cute little Christopher - he really does get up to all sorts of mischief!!  These are my absolute favourite little boy stamps, I just love the expression on his face

I coloured this image with a completely different paper in mind and had some die cuts from my cricut expression all planned but when I went looking for something else I came across this paper I had bought and never used yet and knew it was just perfect. at the same time I also "found" the foam shapes - so much for planning - so I just threw them all together - and there it was my F for Fish card!

This is what I did....

For a child challenge at inky Impressions

Good morning all

Well I'm slowly getting back into the swing again!  Its amazing how 3 weeks away from crafting can put you off your stride!  I had put everything away before I went on holiday and couldn't remember where half of my things were! Together with that its hard to actually get your mind back into crafty mode, its almost like my minds had a clearout and there's nothing there.  (My husband would probably say there never was anything anyway lol)

Anyway back to today.  I should really have been posting two DT cards today the challenge over at

Fab'n'Funky Challenges

has been chosen by Wendy this week and the theme is

Things with wings

The second challenge is at

Inky Impressions

and the theme for this challenge is

For a child

I didn't have time to make two cards but as I had some cute new stamps from Inky Impressions this one won the toss up!

I decided to keep it simple for two reasons, firstly I thought the image should be the main image of the card anyway but also my brain could cope much better with simple!!

This is what I did...

Image - Mischeivous Christopher - from Inky Impressions
Coloured with - copics and prismacolor pencils
Paper - K & Co Hopscotch
Sentiment - K & Co Hopscotch
Card - Bazzill
Buttons and bugs - Martha Stewart punches

So we'd really like to see you over at Inky impressions this week with your card for a child and Over at Fab'n'Funky Challenges if you have any things with wings we'd like to see you over there too.

See you again tomorrow - hopefully ha ha.

My Time to Craft - White challenge

Hi all

Well hello - I'm back, if not a bit jet lagged!!
We just got back this morning and of course I have absolutely no card for this weeks My Time to Craft Challenge.  I had this great idea before I went that it would be a good idea to make a card when I got home to help me stay awake - I always stay up as long as I can then get up normal time next day, and I have to say it does work, I'll be fine in a day.  But... I just couldn't get my head into gear to make a card for this challenge - I definately have jetlagged mojo!!
so here's a bit of a cheat.

The challenge this week is white - except for the main image of the card
I'm not sure that this is 100% true to the challenge - but I'm pretty sure its better than nothing.

I have three invitation samples that I made a while ago - they were for wedding invitations I had been asked to make - the request being a very simple style.

I just thought I would post these rather than nothing at all, as you can see they are all along similar lines   - a very simply made gatefold card with die cut or punched shapes and organza ribbons.

I'm aiming to get into crafting tomorrow and try to get as up to date as I can this week
- I've missed crafting while I've been away

Now here's the part that's really going to shock you!!  - I have time to craft tomorrow because I always bring everything back washed and ironed and everything's already put away
 - I know its very sad - but its just what I do.

Hopefully I'll be back with at least one card tomorrow - watch this space!

Big hugs xx

Sometimes someone just really touches your heart

Hi all

No card today - I'm still away on my holiday in Florida - just lazing by the pool today so thought I'd do a little blogging catch up.  I've done some DT commenting and a bit of a nosey around - its great to have nothing else to do.

I had something happen last night that touched my heart so much and just thought I would share. Some of you may know that my youngest son Tom is disabled by cerebral palsy, he has severe motor skill problems and although he can stand and walk with help ( which means he can do all the roller coasters here in Florida!!) his biggest problems are that he can't coordinate with his hands so can't write with a pen or feed himself and his speech is also difficult to understand.  He's also really bright - did well in his A levels and now going into the last year of his degree course at Uni.  He has a real talent for writing and is being encouraged by the Uni to continue onto masters and PHD and he just loves life so much - he's quite the best person I know!

Anyway last night we were out at a steakhouse in Haines city called Mannys - a real roadhouse type of place great steaks, two for one happy hour and fantastic atmosphere we always go at least once when we're here in Florida.  We had a great meal last night and as often happens some people stopped to talk to us on their way out.  The lady of the couple told us her nephew had cerebral palsy and she said she knew how looking after a child with a disability could be hard, we chatted a while and they left - they were nice people.  When we were getting ready to go we asked for the check and the server told us it had already been settled for us - the people who had stopped and chatted had paid our bill for us.  We felt so overwhelmed that people who we had never seen before and will probably never see again could be so kind - it was a wonderful gesture and I feel quite teary just thinking about it

You come across so many people in life - some not so good and some wonderful - these people were of the very best, I may not be able to thank them personally but they have a little place in my heart

Well I'm off to have a swim in the pool - I have to exercise these steaks off somehow! Have a great week everyone - hope you find some wonderful people as your week goes on.

Hugs

Judith xx
