Starry Starry night....

Good morning blog friends

Hope you're all having a great week.  I'm still on a frantic DT and blog catch up but things are getting a bit better!!

It's my turn to host over at

Fab'n'Funky Challenges

this week for our last week of the month challenge which is always the theme of

Christmas

here's my card that was inspired for me by the fab image and also Van Gogh!!

this image just reminded me of the boxy buildings in one of his paintings called cafe terrace - we used to have a print in out dining room years ago - and of course the star made me think of Starry Starry Night!
I love the Don MacLean song  Vincent so here's another post from me to put a song in your head for the day - but if you live in my world every day's a bit like that - so join me lol

Starry starry night
paint your palette blue and grey.....

This image is called Mini Bethlehem and its available here

from our great sponsors

Doodle Pantry
I enjoyed colouring this in an abstract sort of way and there's glitter on the gold parts - but you can't really se it in the picture - I haven't really done anything like it before, and I don't suppose it would work for many images - but I really like it ; )

Here's what I did...

Image and sentiment -Mini Bethlehem from Doodle Pantry
Coloured with copics
Diamond stickles glitter glue
Paper -LOTV - father knows best
Star die - MFT

- very simple really!

Hope you'll join us at Fab'n'Funky this week and tick off another Christmas card off your list!

Good morning all

Well I'm having a really busy blogging day today -three in one day!!

So here's my first post for

where our theme for the week is

Card of Many Folds

I decided to go with my favourite easel card with one of the cute little boy images from TPS

He's called Say Arr! and is available here!

I'm sure it will be claimed by my daughter for one of her friends little boys - there's a whole little bunch of them all coming up to be three years old

I took my inspiration from that swirly paper that reminded me of waves in the sea and surounded the image with swirls that I cut with a memory box swirl die and cut into pieces

This is what I did....

Image - say arr from TPS
Coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils
Paper - candles and cake from LOTV
Swirls - memory box swirls
letter dies - vintage market from Tim holtz for Sizzix
Nautical dies from MFT
Sentiment stamp - Anna Griffin

I'll be back soon with my DT card for Fab'n'Funky Challenges - see you there! xx

Away with the fairies at Moving along with the Times Challenge this week

Good evening all

Well, I'm here better late than never!  I can't believe that I missed posting this morning for the challenge at

- infact this challenge could have been named for me!!  I knew I was running late with this card with my post holidays catch up, but I let our lovely Hazel know that it would be here... now that was last night - what I want to know is who pinched the day that goes between Wednesday and Thursday - I obviously thought there was one!!  I finished off my card and tootled off to post it on the challenge blog to discover the challenge went live this morning???

So I think I win the prize for this weeks challenge
the theme is

Away with the Fairies
(a fairy on your card)

I decided to make the most of the chance to make a Christmas Card

This is the very cute
Ava Mistletoe Fairy from Bugaboo
(only on my card its holly!!!)

I had a quick count up of the Christmas cards I've made so far and was pleasantly surprised that its now the grand total of 15 - so although I haven't hit my target of 2 a month its more than 1 a month - much better than previous years efforts.

This is what I did...

Image - Ava Mistletoe fairy from Bugaboo
Coloured with Copics
Papers - MME
Glitter glue a very large bottle branded "glitz" - thought I'd give it a go and its fab!!
Tree and wreath stickers - bought at Michaels
Ribbon - gold organza from Carnmeal Cottage

I'm sure I'll regain my sanity fairly soon - please bear with me : /

hugs

Hi honey I'm home! - just in time for the new challenge at Fab'n'Funky

Good morning all

I can't believe its almost a month since I last posted.  3 weeks in lovely Florida and a week to recover - I'm still not sure what sides up - but that just normal for me lol.  We had real problems with our wifi when we were there this time -no phone and no wifi most of the time- it was like the end of the world - what did we do without all this technology in the old days - actually it was a real rest from it all!!  I had to phone my Mam when we could get free wifi in the theme parks
.....hello Mam I'm sorry I haven't rung .... just giving you a quick call while we're waiting in line to meet Winnie the Pooh.... (ha ha - no that is a real conversation I had - with our two year old Grandson with us, the holiday was totally different to say the least!!)

Anyway I'll catch up with you all later - and I think I've got a few apologies to make!
