We're getting sketchy at moving Along With The Times

Good morning all

Whoops just looked and wondered where my post was - scheduled an hour late - for some reason! - sorry better late than never

I was really glad to have a sketch to work from for this weeks challenge at MAWTT
I always think that if you know the layout - you're half way there
and with the busy couple of weeks I've had I need all the help I can get lol

I'm still on my rubber stamps "thing" - I have so many uninked and have decided that I'm using them this year -come hell or high water - as my Nana used to say lol - apart from the waste of not using them it's also such a shame that they never get seen.  Today I'm using a cute Wee stamp that I won in a challenge last year.  it's ages since i've made a pretty pink card and decided that she was a perfect candidate to be pretty and pink!!

Here is the sketch - interpret it any way you like - as long as we can see the sketch on your work

I've got spots!!!

Good morning all

Hope its a good (or getting better!) where you are.  I'm so sorry I've been a bit absent this week.  We've had such a busy, and stressful week again with my MIL and FIL and ongoing health issues, we're really just hoping that things will get better soon and I certainly hope to be able to be a better blogger!

Anyhooos!! on with today which hopefully will be a good one, my BIL is on duty for his parents today  so we're out to lunch on a "steak and chips meal for two" that we got from living social deals - so at least I'm out, getting fed and just having time to sit and relax which doesn't seem to have been happening much lately -its been booked twice and cancelled with various "happenings"  - so third time lucky!!!  Then I'm going to hav myself some well deserved  crafty time this afternoon and open my box of crafty goodies that I ordered and have sat unopened for a whole week because I just haven't had time to do anything with them (this includes my new brother machine!!) - so hope I finally get the time today.

Now onto these spots lol -well I haven't got them personally - but my card has.
This week's theme at

set by our lovely Wendy is

Spots or stripes or even both!

A nice easy one - I'm sure everyone can find a spot or too (on a card!!)

So here's my spots!!

Using the sweet Alannah and Snowball
from Stampart Design by Kathryne at Whimsy Stamps available HERE

I thought I would give my favourite round easel card an outing.  I haven't been able to cut them successfully since my Grand Calibur broke last year as I didn't have a mat big enough to use on my Big Shot with the grand nestie dies - but I had a bit of a mess about cutting up some embossing mats I have and eventually managed it - I still think I need a new GC-think that's in the post soon!!

We have two wonderful sponsors this week

Prize is a class by Suzanne
And

with a prize of 5 digis of the winner's choice
and the chance of a GDT spot here at Fab'n'Funky Challenges

This is what I did.....

Crafty little fairies Bears challenge - and some exciting news!

Good morning blog friends

Another fortnight has gone by and its time for the pink fairies to do their stuff
I've been GDT with the fairies for a while now but last weekend Squirrell asked me if I would like to stay on a permanent basis - would I like to stay!!!! - what do you think I said lol.
So now I'm just soooo happy to be a real pink fairy
(I think my wings and wand must be in the post).

The theme for this weeks challenge is

Teddy Bears

Heres my card(s) for this weeks challenge
what do you think which one!!

I'm carrying on my challenge to myself to go back to using more rubber stamps so I used this cute image from LOTV called My Favourite Friends available HERE
this is one of my most recent LOTV stamps that I bought in one of the sales they had a few weeks back and its the first time I've used it.
I just love that long floppy bear she's holding - just too cute!
- and to qualify for the prize you must use a digi or stamped image
I wanted this to be fairly CAS - but think I went a bit overboard for CAS! - but the main focus is definitely on the image so I must get some brownie points for that : )

Use Vellum for our challenge at MAWTT this week

Good morning all
I'm here with my DT card for the challenge over at Moving Along With The Times
this week our lovely Wendy has given us the challenge to

Use Vellum or Parchment

I was a bit last minute with this card and had planned to use some printed vellum as a background with an image and make matching vellum flowers.  That changed very quickly when I couldn't find the pad of Vellum paper I had!! I hunted through everything I had and came across a couple of "lost" things that I had been looking for but no sign of the vellum : ( .  At first I felt a bit bad because I was going to let down Wendy and the team by not turning up this week but then I remembered I had some Anna Griffin pads of vellum quotes so decided to see what I could do with one of them.  I have to confess time was getting on by this time and I was a bit clueless as to what to do  - so this is what I came up with.  It might have worked a bit better if I'd added some extra flowers, leaves and general faf! - but to be honest I've gone off faffy cards of late and couldn't quite pull it together

I have to confess its not my favourite thing I ever made - but by this time it was this or nothing
 - so it was this!!!

The one thing I do like about it is the sentiment - very inspirational

close up of the sentiment

So sorry - but I don't really feel this is my best work - but its an idea I suppose
 - and at least I turned up!!

This is what I did...

Sentiment - Anna Griffin Sentiment pad from the Sierra Collection
Papers - Lili of the Valley - Bearly mine
die cut labels - labels 11 spellbinders
Die cut butterfly -Spellbinders
Butterfly punch - woodware
Organza and eyelash ribbons - Crafty ribbons
Pearls from my stash
Kraft card - MFT

If you call over at the MAWTT challenge blog you'll find some gorgeous projets made by my teamies - hopefully we have inspired you to join in our challenge this week - with your vellum or parchment
hugs

Calling all Brads! - oh I do like this challenge!!

Good morning all

Its another Wednesday which means I'm here with my DT card for Fab'n'Funky Challenges.

It's the turn of our lovely Ciska to host
and she has come up with a wonderful theme

Calling all Brads!!

Now if you are me there's only one Brad that springs to mind - and you can pop on over to Fab'n'Funky Challenge blog to see him -definitely worth the visit - oh you have given us a treat this week Ciska!!!

The real point of the challenge of course is that you use brads on your project
- me I like the other Brad
(ha ha I sound like the gin lady on the Aldi tea advert - sorry to all you non UK ladies who haven't got a clue who the Aldi tea/gin lady is - such a funny advert!!)
Here's a youtube link
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCKgCkubGc0

.....anyway I digress
Here's my Brad card!

The image is Handyman from Kenny K available here

Our Fab sponsor this week is Kenny K who has provided the DT with some
gorgeous digis to play with and is also providing a fab prize
5 digis to the winner - how great is that!

I knew I had those cute little screw brad and thats why I chose to use this image they're my favourite brads (well except for the other Brad lol) - I thought they were just perfect and also my little tool charms - no there's nothing wrong with your eyes - they're not on the card - I found snowmen, sunflowers, sunglasses, hearts and flowers and dozens of baby bib charms that didn't get used on my grandsons christening invitations (make me an offer anyone!)- but no cute little hammers and wrenches - I know they're there somewhere......grrr

This is what I did....

Coloured with copics and prismacolor pencils
Papers -(blue) LOTV Bear Neccesities and (wood effect) - MME Dolled up
Card - Bazzill Basics
