Vintage is in style at MAWTT this week

Good morning all

We have a new challenge for you at

Moving Along With The Times

  - it seems like ages since I posted a  MAWTT  DT card -firstly because we are down to fortnightly for the holidays and then with only joining in on alternative challenges - its been a whole month!!

The theme this challenge is

 Vintage

I think it's one of those themes you either love or hate!  - I love vintage style - in a toned down sort of way.  I don't like to go overboard with embellies - which people often do with vintage - for me it is more in the papers and colours, a little bit of DI to tone it all down - and of course the style of the image.

I chose to use this cute image from Tidly Inks - and take the opportunity to make another Christmas card, I think vintage style is great for Christmas cards

This lil' cutie is from Tiddly Inks
and is called  "Wryn Goes Carolling" available here

I'm planning to use her in a few colour combos for my Christmas cards this year and I'll use up those piles of vintage Christmas papers I've accumulated!! - these ones are a MME Lost and Found Christmas special edition - I love them, especially those vintage turquoise colours that I've distressed with Tea Die DI

This is what I did...

Image -Wryn goes carolling from Tiddly Inks
coloured with Copics and Prismacolor pencils
Papers - Lost and found christmas (Special edition) MME
Distress ink - Tea die from Tim Holtz
Holly Die - Memory box
Holly Berrys - Viva decor perle pen in red
Poinsettia die - Spellbinders
Pearl - Dovecraft
Wood NOEL sentiment - Papermania
kraft card - MFT

I hope I've inspired you to make a vintage card for our challenge at  MAWTT - you have a whole two weeks to do it - and it would be a really great way to help your Christmas cards on their way if you did that too!

Challenges I'm entering with this card

Crafty girls challenge - anything goes
Aud sentiment challenge - your favourite season (Winter/Christmas of course!)
Sassy studios - stack it up (3 or more layers)
Crafty hazelnuts Christmas challenge - Christmas
Doodle pantry- Digi images
Natalie and Amy's - Die cuts and flowers
