New Scruffy little Kitten Stamps

Hello from sunny Florida!

Well here's my very first post for the Spectrum Noir TV design team - and I have to say I'm just loving the colours and effects I can get with the pens and pencils together - as my first card here shows

And I just had to call in today to remind you about the new launch over at Crafter's Companion  - if you loved Scruffy Little Cat (and I did!)  you will just love this kiddy version

 - Scruffy Little Kittens -

The lovely Fiona Clayton will start her demonstrations tomorrow on Create and Craft for the 4 day deal - first show 8am - so be sure to take a peek - these new stamps and the CD are gorgeous.

My sneak peek for you is the cute little Rosie and there's also some of the printed elements from the CD - don't you just love her!

I coloured her up with my Spectrun Noir pens and used the pencils for extra definition and tiny bit of a distressed look - just the way I like it!

I'm so excited!! - I'm a member of the Spectrum Noir TV Design Team!!

Hi All

My feet have hardly touched the ground over the last two weeks
 - I've had so many things to do and blogging has had to take a bit of a back seat for a little while : (

But now that they have touched down my feet eventually landed here in Florida on my hollies!!
and I thought I'd just call in to share my exciting news

....... I got a wonderful email just the week before we came away on holiday
asking if I would like to join the Spectrun Noir TV DT
we'll after I though for well at least two seconds - of course I said - yes please : ))))

I love to craft and colouring is my first love - especially with pens and pencils - so to get to do this for the Spectrum Noir TV team - and to think that someone thinks my work is good enough to show on TV is just the hugest compliment I could possibly have.

I have coloured a couple of projects for an upcoming launch that I'll share with you soon

but in the meantime - oooo - I'm just so excited - I can't wait to get started properly

Hugs

April showers ..... bring MAY FLOWERS!

Good morning all

Firstly I must apologise for my absences over the last week I've been completely put off course because my Grandson had chicken pox which meant I had him all day every day instead of the normal afternoons after nursery school, luckily he wasn't very poorly with it and was fine towards the end of the week - so needed to be entertained!  Fortunately we had a supply  of card and paper and ribbon to make all kinds of crafty things - he really enjoyed it and spent the days saying - Grandma what can we make now!!

Not only were my days filled but my evenings have been spent scribing for my son Tom for his masters degree work.  Not only that but the whole of the bank holiday weekend was spent locked away in his room - working away, I switched off my phone and he had a really productive week  - only one essay left to finish now - but still lots to do - I forgot how tiring study is - I slept well each night after those marathons - unfortunately poor Tom is having a hard time switching off and not sleeping well at all - the joys of being a student

I was really pleased that I had been organised and had worked ahead, I had nearly the whole weeks posts scheduled and all but one card made.  but I'm totally back to nothing in hand but a couple of odd cards and I'm going on holiday in two weeks eeek!!

Never mind - I'll do my best and see where I get with it all!!

but for now its on to this weeks challenge at

Fab'n'Funky Challenges

it's my turn to host and the theme is

May Flowers

we were very lucky not to have too many April showers -
but I'm sure our May flowers will still arrive lol

We are lucky enough to be sponsored by the fabulous

who are offering a prize of 3 digi stamps to the lucky winner

I chose to use this cute digi called Pablo
available here

when I saw this cute image I thought it would be fun to make a really colourful card
I wasn't sure about it at first - but i did some extra shading on the image with my spectrum noir pencils and it really brought him to life

This is what I did...

Image - Pablo from Lacy Sunshine stamps
Coloured with copics and spectrum noir pencils
Papers by The sweetest thing tangerine from MME
Card - Bazzill basics

My new DT news!! - Clean and Simple at Winter Wonderland

.... and hello for the third time today!!

Today I am really happy to be posting my first DT card for my new DT at

when I saw the DT call I just had to enter because I love making Christmas cards and I was thrilled to bits when I was asked to join the team and to work with the lovely talented ladies there.  For me it's just a great chance to get ahead with those Christmas cards - how could I not join in!!

Not only is this my first DT card - but I also got to host the challenge this week too
So pop over to the Challenge blog to see what I have to say over there too
 - I seem to have an awful lot to say today lol

Our theme for the week is

Clean and Simple

and we have a fab sponsor this week

Dis Digistamps

who are giving a $12 voucher to spend in store

I'm using a reeeealy old stamp for this card
it's one of Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit stamps
I don't think they're available anymore - such a shame because they are so cute
I have quite a few of them - so I might just get them out again and have a play - I think I also have the matching paper pads - hands up who has so much stash they can't remember what or where it is!!

The little holly stamps also come with it, as well as some other cute little embellie stamps
and the sentiment is from LOTV
the pearly dots are cosmic shimmer and the berries are a red viva decor pen.
Glitter is gold stickles

I coloured this image with Spectrum Noir pencils - the first time I've ever coloured an image totally with pencils, I usually use them for shading after colouring with pens.  I have to admit I wasn't too keen on it when I finished it but when I looked at it again next morning I really liked the effect - I think probably the artificial light at night washed it out.  But in day light it looks soft and pretty - totally different to the vibrant colours that you get with alcohol pens.

Well if you followed me through my 3 posts today well done!
- if not - just get back and see the other's - you don't know what you're missing lol

Challenges I'm entering with this card

Thats crafty challenge - keep it simple

Hugs
