Hi there blog friends
Hope you all had a great weekend, I don't know where weekends go, I don't often have much crafty time at weekends unless its a rainy Saturday afternoon or something like that, we always are out and about and Sunday is always a family day.
The weather was beautiful here on Saturday and we took the dog on a long walk over the fields up to the next village along the coast and sat and had coffee and cakes outside at a litle cafe we often go to. On Sunday we had a tea party for the grannies (as our mothers are known!) for mothers day and I baked cakes and pies and made little posh sandwiches and thoroughly enjoyed it, my daughter entertained the grannies and the men sat in the conservatory and listened to the football It makes me sound like a real domestic goddess - I wish!! - can't even remember the last time I made a corned beef and potato pie before that, but even if I say so myself it was delish and the cakes were disapearing before
they got to the tea table - sounds like little house on the prarie doesn't it but sometimes its just so nice to slow down and do ordinary things at home and not have to rush around.
I started to do some colouring last night withmy new copic colours - lovely! - had a couple of DT cards to do and particularly wanted to enter the LOTV challenge this week because I'd got 6 new stamps from the new release as part of my birthday pressie from my daughter. couldn't believe when I saw the new challenge was fairies and butterflies because there are no fairies in the new release just one little girl who looks like she might be dressed as a fairy so I used her and made some butterfly embellies to fit with the buttefly part of the challenge
- don't think thats very good planning Lillis little fairies - releasing new stamps then having a challenge that you can't use them in!!
