Have you got a beady eye to spare!!

(scroll down for my today's post for the Paper Shelter love is in the air challenge)

Ha ha - all you people with beady eyes - we need you at Fab'n'Funky challenges this week!!

The theme set by our lovely Rachel this week is

Use beads

On first looking at the challenge theme I'm sure you probably thought (as I did!) - that' s a hard one- a bit of the challenge that one!! But when you actually stop to think about it its really quite easy - there are lots of ways to use beads, on flowers, pins,  just stuck onto your project - make some jewellery with beads! we want you to challenge yourself!

I chose to use pins with glass beads on to decorate my card

I used this gorgeous image called Night Out 2 available here
which was one of the images given to us from our sponsor this week
 - who is the fab Digi Darla Designs

who are offering our winner the choice of 5 digis from their shop

I really loved this image when i saw it - very elegant and it sent me in search of some lovely green and gold papers I've had stashed away fro ages! - I think they're from an Anna Griffin set - though I could be totally wrong!!  I  also decided to colour her just prisma pencils for a change (I used copics for her skin) - I quite like how it turned out - I love that how green turned our which is shaded with 4 shades

Here's what I did....

Image - Night out 2 from Digi Darla Designs
coloured with copics and prisma pencils colours : celadon green, limepeel, chartreuse
and olive and a small amount of cool grey
Rectangle die -spellbinders timeless rectangle
Flowers - fabulous phlox dies from Memory box
Leaves - Magnolis swirl and leaf set
Pearls - Brown pearls from Kars from Cuddly Buddly
Ribbon  - carnmeal cottage
Eyelash trim (under image) - crafty ribbons
Papers - Anna Griffin (I think!)
Beaded pins - from my stash
Tag - LOTV tags (my go to sentiments of the moment)
Distressed with - Tim Holtz DI - tea die and shabby shutters

So keep your beady eye open for some fab embellies with beads and lets see them over at Fab'n'Funky challenges this week

Challenges I'm entering with this card
