It's Christmas Bingo at Winter Wonderland

Good morning all

Well I'm sure most of you probably think I've disappeared from the face of blogland by now!
and I have to confess I thought I had as well

Life has just been so so busy, unexpected and downright messy lately!!

in the last 3 months

I slipped and fell and turned into an old, aching, moaning crock!!
Got an ear infection - and moaned some more
Went on holiday for almost 4 weeks - and cheered up
came back to Christmas (!)
attended my sons Masters degree graduation - and was so so proud
found I was going to be Grandma (again) to a baby girl :  )

All the while very little crafting or blogging has happened

But I've managed to squeeze in for the last challenge of the year at

Winter Wonderland

where our theme is

Christmas Bingo

I used this cute image from The Paper Shelter
called - Snowman

We have 3 fabulous prizes provided by out sponsors

a £10 gift certificate from Bunnyzoes Crafts

So definitely worth entering!

This is what I did...

I treat myself to this lovely die from Tonic to make some cute Christmas cards together with the accessories set from Tim Holtz Crazy birds stamps to add the hats and candy canes
- the perfect ingredients for a Christmas candy card!
When I get back from my hollies I intend to do a bit of a batch craft of this card
- quite easy to do - well except for backing the gingerbread men in white - which turned out a whole lot more complicated than I thought!!

But I digress - I decided to make a Christmas card for this challenge using the cute image

Are You Ready My Friend available here

just a perfectly lovely image of Santa and Rudolf getting ready for their travels on Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve - and I even found his little sleigh to add to the corner of the card!

You can choose any form of travel for this challenge - it could be a form of transport such as a car or train, walking or running or even going on hoilday or perhaps as I have chosen Santa's travels!

Just because I can....

Good morning all

And - happy guy Fawkes day to all my UK buddies - to be honest I forgot it was Guy Fawkes day today until I saw it on another blog this morning.  Aren't we a funny lot in the UK - having a special celebration day to remember when a man named Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of Parliament - and all therein! - and from my school days as I recall what they did to him when the plot was foiled - ooo I shudder to think about that!!

Anyway I digress - I 'm posting today just because i can! - no challenges or have -to-makes....
I seem to have a whole queue of cards and projects that I haven't blogged so thought I would share  a set of card samples that I made for Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir a couple of months back for one of Sheena Douglass TV shows, using the lovely Perfect Partners Victorian Floral stamps and dies available HERE

The first two are from the bluebell set which is a great set because you get two for the price of one! - the flowers and leaves allow you to make either a bluebell or lily of the valley.  I really loved the lily of the valley when it was finished, although obviously just a white flower I also heat embossed it with a shimmer embossing powder and shaped the flowers with a ball tool.  It looked so pretty.

the last one was probably my favourite - the sweet william, Probably because I love these flowers in real life, always so pretty, make a lovely display - and last for ages!

I coloured the flowers with my Spectrum Noir pens and also coloured the centura pearl card in the first two cards to match in blue and green so they toned perfectly with the colours of the flowers and leaves.  I used collall 3d glue gel to create dimension in the flowers - it's great for this type of project.

It takes me back to summer sharing these today! - wouldn't a nice light, warm sunny day be nice!

Thank you for calling in to see me today

Hugs

Good morning all

I'm back today with my creation made for

The Paper Shelter Challenge

We have a new challenge starting today

Halloween

I still haven't got myself back up and crafting properly after my fall - luckily I had a couple of projects in hand and I did motivate myself to colour one image last weekend (big deal!)- but to be honest I'm still very achy and just so exhausted.  By the time evening comes when I would normally sit down and do some crafting - I just sit down and go to sleep instead!!!.   I really have so much that I should be doing and I'm starting to panic EEK - Christmas is coming!!

Anyway less of my moaning on

I have a treat bag to share that I made for my grandson when he call round on Halloween night

I used the precoloured version of the image

Halloween night - available here

I printed it several times and layerd up some of the elements -though it doesn't show to well here.
I added a set of Halloween embellies for Jollies that I picked up in a sale basket at Michaels last year, a ribbon and die cut a BOO! - just for good measure - a quick and east make!

Anything goes at the Digital Delights Challenge

Good morning all

It's challenge time at Digital Delights and as usual our theme for the month is

Anything goes

I chose to use the cute Lil' Billy - one of my favourites!
and also the Wild West Sentiments set

I took my colour inspiration from my papers which is a really old set from My Minds Eye called So Sophie - there aren't many pages left in the pad now  : (  - gorgeous purples, mustards and greens - I really like the colour scheme with the cute little cowboy - it made a nice change from the reds and blues that I usually choose for these little cowboy images.

The lucky winner of our challenge will win a

$10 Gift Voucher

if a Digital Delights image is used

or

$5 Gift Voucher

if you use another image.
There is also the chance of a GDT spot if you are chosen as one of our top 3
So hurry on down for your chance to win!

Fortunately I had made this card in advance - just as well because I've been out of action for a week now!  I slipped and fell while I was walking my dog last week - forwards onto my chest - then I passed out as I stood up and fell backwards hitting my head.  Fortunately nothing was broken but I have staples in my head and so many aches and pains its unreal - I just want to get up tomorrow and not be aching .... anyway back to my card

This is what i did....

Image - Lil Billy from Digital Delights
Sentiment - Wild West Sentiment set from Digital Delights

We would like to see ribbon at Winterwonderland this week

Good morning all

It's time for another challenge over at

Winter Wonderland

we would like to see ribbon on your project
so this weeks theme is

Christmas with a Ribbon

The team were lucky enough to be given a choice of image by our sponsor this week

I chose this cute gingerbread man available HERE

our lovely sponsor this week is

who will be giving a prize of 2 digis to our lucky winner

I'm still continuing to practice with my Spectrum Noir Aqua pens from Crafters Companion and thought that the slight texture of the watercolour card together with the watercolour shaded effect might work quite well with the gingerbread man, It's a different technique to colouring with alchol pens, much quicker and several ways to do it, I think I did ok - practice is the key here - I'll keep trying, he's not just an all over flat colour and that's what I wanted to  acheive.  I also glittered all the white with glamour dust fine glitter - it looks lovely and sparkly in real life - but I don't think I've quite got it in the photogragh

This is what I did......

Image - Gingerbreadman from Pink Gem Designs
Sentiment from Crafters Companion Nordic Christmas CD
Coloured with Spectrum Noir Aqua pens
Colours - chestnut, crimson, evergreen and bud green
Card - crafters companion waterclour card
Cardbase - crafters companion Kraft card
Papers - Krafty Christmas from Dovecraft
Glitter - glamourdust
Buttons and ribbon from my stash
Square stitched die - Memory box
Circle dies - spellbinders
Distress ink - Tim Holtz Tea Dye

We have a lovely new DT member at Winter Wonderland this week!
 Welcome to Alison Barlow,
it would be lovely if you popped over to her blog and gave her a welcome
