Won't you come dancing with us!

Good morning all

We have a fun new challenge starting at

Our lovely Hazel has chosen the theme

Come Dancing

I had this pretty card already made up that I thought fit the theme perfectly
it's a stamp and sentiment from the Cinderella Collection
by Christine Howard at Crafter's Companion
this one is the Christmas Fairy,  She is coloured with spectrum noir pens.

The card is made completely with elements from the Cinderella CD
The papers and bow were printed off and I created an easel card with shaped cards from craftwork cards with the addition of a spellbinders die cut on the base and some punched butterflies and a pearl it was quite a quick and easy card.

Hope we'll see you playing along in our fun challenge

Challenges I'm entering with this card

Crafty girls - anything goes 14/04
crafting for all seasons - punches and dies 12/04
crafty creations - for a girl
creative moments - twist of a song - tiny dancer by Elton John 12/04

It's that Chistmas thing again at fab'n'Funky Challenges

Hi all

I hope you've all recovered from all those chocolate eggs!!
We had a lovely if not busy Easter weekend with birthdays galore then a lovely (if not cold!) day out yesterday at Alnwick garden.  What with all these birthday cards to make I haven't had a lot of time to get down to my DT work so I pulled out a Christmas card I had in reserve for such occasions lol.

This is a cute card made with one of the LOTV art pads that we will all miss
featuring the cute James Bear

It's a large 8x8 inch card using (also sadly missed) LOTV Christmas paper pad!

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous KennyK stamps
who are offering a fabulous prize of  digi stamps

This is what I did

Downton Abbey Inspiration

Hi all

Have you seen the new Downton Abbey dies from Crafter's Companion

I just love them.  I don't have the new ones (yet!!) but felt very inspired to make a birthday card for my son-in-law using the original dies.  It's really not very often that I make a card without colouring an image (I find it easier to colour than die cut!) - but these dies are just so lovely.

This is an 8x8 inch card so quite large and I've been quite adventurous (for me!!)
I thought I would have a go with the gold gilding wax on kraft card - just to see what happened and I just love the effect.  It looks very opulent - will definitely do that again.  I also found an old broken bracelet that I had put in my craft box - just in case, and one of the chains was perfect to finish off the tags (ribbon, twine and hessian ribbon just wasn't doing it for me)  I'm off now to make my daughter's birthday card.  They very conveniently (or maybe not!) have both their birthdays and wedding anniversary on the same day - and its Easter Sunday this year - so mega card requirement!!

This is what I did....

Card made with 8x8 card, black card green Core'dnations card (distressed with my sanding block) and Kraft cardstock from Crafter's Companion
Downton Abbey dies from Crafter's Companion - Gilt Frame
                                                                                 Motor Vehicle
                                                                                 Downton Abbey icons
Background die - Anna Griffin
Happy birthday die - Spellbinders
Pierced square dies - Sue Wilson Noble dies
Labels - Sizzix tags scallop combo #2
Embossing Folder - embossalicious regency swirls 8x8 from Crafter's Companion
Gilding wax - Pebeo - Empire gold and Renaissance gold
Black Distress ink - Tim Holtz

Hope i have inspired you to put down your pens and get your dies out!!

Simonsays stamp - sorry adde to your challenge in error - please ignor!!

Sadly - it's the last ever challenge at Wags'n Whiskers

Hi all

I'm here to share my last ever card for

Wags'n'Whiskers Challenge

Sadly the blog is closing after this challenge
but to go out with a smile we have a lovely challenge for you

the theme is

Wings

I used the cute Fairy Angelica

I love the fairies at Wags'n Whiskers
 - just the right amount of cute but also girly and pretty
I coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Watercolour pencils and sparkle pens
I also used my (now very favourite!) new Pretty Petals flowers and leafy flourish dies from the floral delight range that accidentally fell into my basket when I went shopping at Crafter's Companion last week, I've liked them for a while but in real life they are gorgeous - the embossing makes the most beautifully shaped flowers
There's lots of sparkle on this card (just as a fairy should be!) using the Sparkle pens and also the green glitter card that I came across in my stash no idea where I got it and I definitely won't be buying it again - a nightmare to work with but looks very pretty!!

This is what I did....

You really do need a rosy Outlook!

Hi again

Well I'm sure everyone's having some sort of bad weather here in the UK
apparently there's a lot of snow in the North West  - here in the North east the rain is tipping down
so what we all need is a Rosy Outlook!!

That's the name of this fabulous Stamp and Die set from
Sheena Douglass' Perfect Partners

I made this card and box using the stamp and die and coloured them with the fabulous new pens that have been launched on Hochanda (channel 39 on freeview) this morning
they are the vintage hues and the colours are fabulous.  I saw my card and box on the TV - right at the front - the feeling never changes - a great boost to my day!!

Here's what I did....

Spectrum noir sparkle pens in Hearthside, and Sage
Perfect Partners Rosy Outlook stamp and die
Sentiment on card from Sheena Douglass's A little bit sketchy silhouette grasses
Sentiment on box was free with Crafter's Companion magazine
Embellie from my stash (ebay)
Core'd'nations card from CC
Black card from CC
Box made with Crafter's Companion ultimate pro

There are lots of shows on Hochanda this weekend with lots of lovely new launches with SAra, Leanne, Sheena and Debbie Shore - be sure to check it out!

This one's a challenge!!

Good Morning all

It's time to start getting those Christmas cards on the go

Yes really!!

We are starting off our Christmas challenges again at

and our theme is

Add Lace

and for me that is a challenge! - I don't really like lace : (
in fact in truth I don't really like this card - but I think the lace got in the way of my mojo lol
- I'd even go as far to say I liked it better before the lace!!
but such is the life of a DT girl - a challenge it is and we can't like them all

We are sponsored this week by the fab
who are offering a prize of  3 digis for the winner

Here is my card made with a precoloured topper from LOTV

This is what I did....

Image - precoloured from LOTV artpad (what a shame that these are discontinued)
Card and paper is from my stash - paper could be Docrafts!?
Merry Christmas - Britannia Dies
Layers cut with Sue Wilson Noble dies from Creative Expression
Large Holly die - Sizzix thinlet
tag die - MFT
Small holly - cut from a memory box holly garland die

there's a purple 'thing' going on at MAWTT!

Good morning all

It's another one of those Thursdays when I have a DT card to post for

where do the weeks go!

This time we want to see

Purple

not a colour I use a lot - not for any particular reason - I think I must forget about it now,
And yet (as any good Donny Osmond fan knows!!) it was Donny's colour and I had a lovely purple bedroom in honour of that when I was a young teenager -it's funny how things come back to you.  I remember being allowed to plaster my walls with pop posters,( the Osmonds, The Jackson five, Marc Bolan, David Bowie, David Essex, The New Seekers. the O'Jays ..... what a collection, all because the man that my Mam got in to wallpaper put the pattern of the paper on upside down!! - happy days - how I'd love that happy carefree place now, my lovely purple room with my posters and music - and my dog Kim, Radio Luxemburg and the Fab 208 magazine - oh I'm really off on a memory trip here - and cream eggs! - why do cream eggs pop into my mind, I haven't had one for years - and all this because of purple : )

This week I have made 3 purple thede cards  one posted yesterday and  one today and I haveanother  following tomorrow - a bit like buses lol

I've had this pretty stamp from LOTV for a little while and never used it, I bought it because I love tulips - so for today's card purple tulips seemed the perfect thing to do! - and I'm still on the watercolour pencils thing! - I just love them, so quick and easy to use

This is what I did....

Image - Tulips from LOTV
Coloured with Spectrum Noir Watercolour pencils and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens
Pencil colours - Iris, hyacinth, wild orchid, cypress, sorrell, beeswax, asphalt,
Sparkle colours - inspired violet, olive Jade, aquamarine, clear
Papers - Kimono from Crafter's Companion
Card - Cor'dnations from Crafters Companion
Frame die - Spellbinders
Square cut with sue Wilson noble die
Ribbon and gems from my stash

Hope you'll play along with us this week

We're celebrating LoVe at Fab'n'Funky Challenges this week

Hi all

Sorry I'm a bit late with my post today we've got a few things going on with very poorly people in our family at the moment and it's been a bad couple of days - but better late than never

I'm here to share my DT card for

Fab'n'Funky Challenges

our theme this week chosen and hosted by our lovely Jan is

LOVE

I decided to make this into a Mothers Day card project - I'm a bit loved out with the recent Valentines makes so thought it would make a good compromise - and it still fits the theme with the papers I've chosen

This card was made using the image from a paper pack from TPS
Called Two shades of Romance available HERE

The papers are as the name suggests - only two shades - but I printed it in two sizes onto Crafter's Companion Watercolour card and coloured the lovely vintage floral design with my Spectrum Noir Watercolour pencils, and I have to say I was rather pleased with the result! - it was very easy to do as the images are so well drawn with shading anyway.

The DT were lucky enough to be able to work with images from our lovely sponsor this week

Why not check out the blog at Fab'n'Funky and see all the great makes the girls have come up with for your inspiration this week

This is what I did

Image - from Two shades of romance paper set (8 papers in the set)
