Digital Delights Sketch Challenge

Good morning again

I'm back again today with my DT card for Delightful Challenges.  I have to say this card caused me more problems than any card I've made in a long time! - even down to posting it on the wrong day at one point whoops!!  I chose the cute bride and groom image because I had a wedding card to make for some good friends of my daughter - and this image reminded me of the bride so much - it was just perfect.  I was all set to make the card last Thursday when my daughter rang and asked if I would help her to make a "keepsake box" for the bride and groom - they are very special friends and her husband was best man at the wedding.  So we arranged that she would come round the next night and I would make the card and she would decorate the box - or so I thought - and I really should have known better!!

What actually happened was she turned up with the box - and just the box which was about 2 ft long! and I ended up decorating it  - with my stuff - and no wedding card got made - and the wedding was the next day!!  so after she went home at about 10:30 pm I set about making the card  and completely forgot about the sketch I should have been following for my DT card.  The card and the box turned out beautifully and she called in next morning to collect them on the way to the wedding - dropping off her 9 month old baby to stay for the day and night as she went - What a wonderful mother and grandma I am!!!!

It wasn't until I went to upload the card on the challenge blog that I realised what I'd done -so another wedding card  was rattled off last minute to fit in with the sketch - and I wished I had just made this one first - it would have saved me so much time and bother lol.  On the other hand I've also got a lovely wedding card that I haven't posted yet - so watch this space.

Oh no!! I don't know how you managed to come up with a card so quickly Judith… if someone asked me for a card for a wedding next day…. let's just say it would have to be a very CAS one!!! I'm glad it all turned out ok in the end :-)
this is a beautiful card… the image is really sweet and I love the scrummy paper… such gorgeous colours and the rose border and pearls look so pretty with it!

Isn't that like a daughter - they know mom will come through for them and the keepsake box is lovely. Your card turned out beautifully, too.
